b) Ontario Cup #3 June 12, 2022 Sir Sam’s Ski and Ride

NOTE THE CHANGE OF DATE TO JUNE 12!

The third stop on the Ontario Cup series goes back to another true Ontario classic!  Sir Sam’s has what many believe is the best course on the series, in by far the most beautiful area!  Sweeping views of Eagle Lake, spectacular rocky, rooty riding, and northern hospitality await!  We say goodbye to the Bishop family who have owned the hill since it’s inception in the 1950s, and welcome the new owners!  We hope to see some familiar faces and hope the Bishops drop by for a visit!

Superfly Racing is again happy to have Scott Bikes on board as the title sponsor of Superfly’s Ontario Cup events!  Be sure to check out their amazing line of bikes and look for them on-site at Superfly Events!  To check out their Canadian website, click HERE

The COURSE

Sir Sam’s never disappoints!  We will ensure the course is pre-marked several weeks in advance, and will use the classic trails and, as always, two climbs up the hill for most categories!  The kids courses for B, C, D, and E grades will be on Sunday Morning!  at the same 8:30 and 9:00 am starts as the other Ontario Cups.

Pre-Riding

We will update you as to when the course is marked, but we hope to have it up by the weekend of June 4/5.  Pre-riding a fully marked, taped course will be available by 4pm Friday, June 17, and all-day Saturday.

Camping/RV parking

On-site camping, parking for motorhomes etc. is available at a fee.  Fee’s to be updated shortly.  Other accommodations are available nearby and are often easier to get before summer.  Google Haliburton to find the many nearby Hotel’s Resorts and Airbnb’s that are ready to welcome you!

The COURSE

Woodnewton is a rider favourite!  As the only opportunity for riders outside the Shredders program to ride the trails, riders love the ultra fast, flowy race specific trails at Woody!  A mix of hand-built and machine built trails, along with some long sustained climbs, makes Woodnewton the perfect starting point for the series!  Great spectating on trails such as Jalinelle’s Revenge and Holmes’ Hillybilly Hustle – not to mention the famous Rock Garden, also make it a very family and team-friendly venue!
